Taskforce on Business-Affected Communities | France : Céline led a dedicated taskforce with French multinationals across sectors, in collaboration with the UN Global Compact France, to address challenges faced by companies and affected communities and enhance corporate-community engagement practices through a human rights lens. Based on the Taskforce’s work, interviews with stakeholders and fieldwork, a business practical guide will be published in the first half of 2025.
Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIAs) | Central America and East Africa: We conducted comprehensive HRIAs in the agriculture and mining sectors, focusing on engagement with rightsholders, including with affected communities. This included facilitating focus groups with vulnerable groups and engaging with Indigenous peoples to ensure their perspectives and rights were fully integrated into the assessments.
Review and Strategy Development for Community Engagement | South America: We conducted a detailed review of existing corporate community engagement practices and interviews with affected communities to develop a comprehensive community engagement strategy for a renewable company aligned with applicable international standards.
Security and Human Rights Training | Central America: Céline delivered tailored in-person training sessions for security leads in Spanish, focusing on the intersection of security practices and human rights, ensuring alignment with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights. Follow-up sessions were delivered through online platforms.
Human Rights Due Diligence Training in partnership with UNDP | Mozambique: Céline collaborated with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to deliver on-site training in Mozambique, enhancing companies’ capacity to implement robust human rights due diligence processes aligned with the UNGPs.
